October's Done!?!

Another month done in a year where all the months run together. Here are some highlights for October!

Our 10th week of home school is finished! My agenda with all the kids assignments is empty for next week, which means I have lot's of planning to do this weekend.

We enjoyed a Sunday evening at a local corn maze.

October in Michigan is always a toss up with weather but this October was beautiful. We went on walks to see all the changing colors of the leaves. There is a neighborhood across the street from us that runs along the river, and it always have beautiful colors in October.

The kids have helped grandpa with closing the garden this month. This included removing the butternut squash and pulling tarps full of leaves into the garden to be tilled in.

We made 36 Quarts of applesauce with grandma's help!

We got back to a little bit of normal when we started up with GEMS and Cadets at church.

The most exciting thing for Seth and the kids was using their afternoons and weekends to build and improve their fort. They love showing it off and love to play out in the woods on any day it's not raining.

Lastly, we got to watch our first Michigan football game this fall!
