Getaway

I need some ideas for a getaway for Seth and I. His vacation week is the 7th through the 15th of April. I'm supposed to look up where we could stay overnight but I have no clue. Some things we want is a place we can golf, maybe horseback riding, an indoor pool (I would like a spa as well), a jaccuzzi in the room, and, oh yeah, low cost. Not sure what "low cost" is yet but it would probably be over 100 and under 150 per night. Does anyone have any ideas? Oh one more thing, let's get it within driving distance (under 6 hours) otherwise we don't have time for fun and all we do is drive, sleep, and drive again! Or if you have any other ideas for day trips or something, we'll take those too. All we really want to do is RELAX!

When I traveled to Gaylord for training at our main office, I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express that was $79.00 a night for the weeknights. The room had two double beds, a refrigerator, coffee maker, and blow dryer. Gaylord is 3 hours away. It is not a big town by any means, but I've heard there are really nice golf courses there. You would probably have to research the golf courses.

If I think of other ideas, I will let you know.

I always have a great time in Traverse City. The last time I went with Adam, we stayed right on the bay for $150 per night. Our room had a jacuzzi tub. There are plenty of places to golf and lots to do nearby.

Hey Sarah. We stayed in Traverse city for our honeymoon and then again for our anniversary. We went to the grand beach resort. It was great. For like $300 we got 2 nights in a suite with jacuzzi, 2 movie rentals, $40 dinner voucher for a restraunt of our choice, great breakfast, and a cheese/chocolate/wine basket. Here's the website. http://www.tcresorts.com/

You can check out Anne's blog (get the link from my blog)...they went to Traverse City and got a great deal because it was off-season...you could always come to South Bend:) Very relaxing here with our two kids:)
I would also check out South Haven and Grand Haven...you might find a cottage deal since it is off-season...you could stay in a cottage on the beach...it's cold but beautiful
