Unfortunatly, Coffee Break is over for the season. I really enjoyed my tuesday mornings when I could go. The fellowship and learning that took place about me, Seth, and our family was inspirational and answered some questions that all moms have about faith and raising kids. I also considered this part of my "alone time." Peter would either stay home with Seth or go into the nursery. Although he would cry a bit when I left him, he always came out hungry and tired from playing so hard. This meant I made lunch after arriving home and then put him straight to bed for a nap. Tuesdays were wonderful. Now I must find something new to do to pass that time I'll be missing.
Wisdom for Mothers by Denise Glenn was a great workbook/devotional to do. There were somethings I didn't always agree on but for the most part it helped me figure out what I believe is my role in the church, in my family, and who I am as a child of God. Her prayers at the beginning of each lesson were worded perfectly. And the "tips" at the end of each lesson seemed to be exactly what I needed to complete each lesson. I will miss my small group of ladies, some who have young children and some who have older children, their encouragement and insite was a blessing each week I attended. I look forward, though, to the fall for a new book and new group and refreshing inspiration. Until then, I'll be doing my own devotional that is yet to be determined. Any ideas?
