Follow-up Friday

Although I didn't post about this I'm going to follow-up today on it.

We've all heard of the Miss USA pageant controversy with Miss California.
All I have to say is HOW DARE THEY GO AFTER HER? If she lost solely on the fact that she stated an honest opinion instead of giving the judges what they wanted to hear...shame on Miss USA pageant judges, shame on Perez Hilton for slandering her on his website**, and shame on the American people who are backing the judges decisions and opinions about Miss California.

America is about expressing yourself and your beliefs and NO ONE should get the grief she is getting over this. As a Christian, I don't agree with gay marriage; as a citizen I will vote against it; as a human I am appalled that others treat each other with such disrespect over an issue. Is there not more pressing issues in this world that the contestants of Miss USA could answer questions to? Is there not better causes to root for and defend in a pageant such as this? Is this the best question that the Miss USA judges could come up with? Seriously, friends, maybe we should have better judges if they're going to ask such questions that can polarize one candidate from another.

I am proud of Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who stuck to what she believed and did not waiver on her answer. She is strong, she will affect many people for the good, and she will be rewarded for her honesty and not compromising in order to win a title! I wish more people would take a stance and not beat around the bush when it comes to issues that affect our country, our world, and our faith. I'm happy she would not go back and answer it differently.

**Disclaimer: Please do not take this post as lashing out at a person or issue. My concern is with the validity of the question in a compitition such as this one and the professionalism displayed by Judge #8 after the pageant on his website (not his beliefs or sexual orientation)**

hey sarah, i agree with you 100%, when I heard her say that, I was happy, to think that somebody on TV would say that. Who cares what perez thinks, he just was looking for a "gay" answer from her.
