I had the stitch placement done yesterday.
I had to be there by 1pm and my surgery wasn't scheduled until 3:10pm. When I got to the prepping room I was told my doctor was running an hour behind. To my surprise he caught up and I was in surgery by 2:30pm and out by 3:00pm. They put me under general anesthesia instead of doing a spinal (like for a c-section) which allowed me to recover faster and get out of the hospital by 5:15pm. It was great to be able to come home and sleep in my own bed.
Now I can relax a little, knowing that we've done what we can to prevent what happened with Isaac and Luke.
I'm not completely on bedrest yet but the doctor said to take it easy. At 20 weeks, he said, and I quote "you're done". In other words, bathroom, meals, and to drink are the only reasons I should be up.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers. They mean a lot to us and I will keep you posted on how things are going (if I can get up to it).
