"Me" Time

After a long day, there are many ways I like to relax. One way is by taking a nice, quiet shower. I most often use this time to pray and have my time with God. Since having kids I have learned that getting two things done at once is the only way to get half the things on the list done. So while I shower and relax physically, I pray and regenerate spiritually. I have had many great talks with God during these times. It has led to many insightful thoughts and emotions. Tonight, though, as I escaped from the demands of everyday life, the burdens of health (I have a headache today) and the fussy children, I realized how lucky I am to be allowed "me" time. I thanked God for such a great husband that is able to be here so I can have this great time. I closed in prayer thanking God that he doesn't need "God" time. What an awesome God, we love and serve, that He is ever present.

So true, Sarah. I've always found the shower to be my best time to reconnect with the Lord as well. Too funny! But it's the only time I know I can count on to be alone with my thoughts. :)

Hang in there - it does get easier as the kids get older...
