A night out....

I've never been much of a fashionista.

When it comes to going out, sometimes I feel I look more like this.....

...than anything else. (Halloween 2000 - I was UN-fashionable Barbie!)

I don't buy a lot of clothes or fashion accessories. I don't own a lot of jewelry or make-up.

I'm pretty bland when it comes to dressing up. Not to mention I don't get to get out a lot between Seth's work schedule and 3 kids under 3 (but only for another month!!!).

On Nov. 14 though we had Seth's annual party for work. It was a blast.

I have had a dress in my closet that I have only worn once. I wore it to church and the collar got pulled on and one son (Peter) tried to hide in the skirt. Needless to say, I found out it was not a church dress until my kids are old enough to know better.

This dress, though, is more of a summer dress than a winter one. So I called my sister, my mom, and searched through my own things. I made it a winter dress.

This is the result....

I felt good! I loved getting out! Now, if only we could do this once a month (or more). But, I guess that would require more "going out" clothes. Bummer, looks like I have to go shopping ;)
