Early camping

The camping season hasn't officially started yet, BUT, my MIL took Peter and three of his cousins to the Conference Grounds this past weekend!

I missed him, terribly!
I got some alone time with the twins, though!

He had a great time!

Campfires!
Marshmallows!
Hot dogs!
Playgrounds!

And it's not camping with them unless they get play time and a great meal at McDonalds!

Saturday, Seth and I drove out with the twins and stayed the night with them. (his three cousins had to leave early as they are going to Iceland!)

So, I should tell you, though, that this isn't your typical camping.

They stayed in a cottage that was more like a starter house! It was beautiful inside! Three beds, 2 baths, living and dining rooms, and a full functioning kitchen!

This...all for less than a hotel room!!

Seth and I enjoyed our one night there and to full advantage of being on Lake Michigan! We watched the sunset and enjoyed 4 walks while there!

After a wonderful breakfast, prepared by me—wait, you say? It's Mother's Day, you shouldn't be cooking!!!! And to that I say, well, I wasn't the only mother there (it was my gift to my MIL) and I know how I like my bacon cooked!
Anyway, after breakfast we headed home. On our way back we stopped with the kids at a local park. It was great fun!

What a wonderful weekend!
What a wonderful Mother's Day!

I hope all you moms out there had a fabulous day as well!!!
