48 hours to be almost exact.
We won't actully pick the kids up until tomorrow morning sometime but we have been without them since Monday morning.
Yesterday we went to Mt. Baldhead and ascended/descended 300 stairs each way. The only thing I learned from this was I am way out of shape!
We then took the loooooonnnnnnngggggggg way home. We just drove until we got there, all back roads. I think it took us well over an hour.
We had lunch in the park, took a walk on a path along the river in a neighboring town, MADE DINNER TOGETHER! Something we haven't done in a long while. We also played a game and enjoyed half of the first disc of LOTR the fellowship of the ring. We both fell asleep half way through!
A great day, yesterday!
Today we got a slower start to the day. After sleeping in until 8am we headed off to putt putt golf just before lunch. We walked the mall in quietness and not having to worry about if the kids were going to pull things off the shelves. Then after coming home and wondering what to do next we decided on a bike(me)/rollerblade(Seth) on the private drive across the street. It was a lot of work...there are many hills! I'm quite sore this evening. And quite full after eating Jet's pizza (I had all four corners)! This evening we finished LOTR the fellowship of the ring.
I can't wait to see my kids in the morning! I'm quite surprised though that I haven't missed them as much as I expected to. But I still miss them terribly! So happy I get a couple days with them before I go off to Ohio for the weekend!!
