I thought I posted this but then realized I posted these pics only to FB.
Last Tuesday we went to the zoo that is about an hour south. We plan to go back again so we bought a membership for the year.
The kids loved the zoo. Peter is becoming more aware of danger and had a lot of questions about how the animals are "caged" and didn't want to get too close.
Abigail and I fed a giraffe some lettuce leaves!
Seth spent awhile looking at this large animal!
The monkeys were pretty quiet the day we went.
This is overlooking the zebra and giraffe area. Peter kept talking bout the dead zebra that had been partially eaten. He was quite intrigued by this and found it fascinating...yuck!
Just before we left the boys went to the restroom and Abigail and I enjoyed some alone time and I snapped this photo of her. She was the most daring in terms of feeding giraffes, climbing onto animal statues for pictures, and running ahead, without reserve, to find another animal exhibit.
It was a beautiful, pleasantly sunny, breezy day! The perfect weather for the zoo!
