A Love Story: The Wedding!!

After just over a year of planning the wedding was here. July 23, 2004 was a very great day. For the end of July is was a little cooler than normal at a wonderful 72*. I loved the weather, I hate when it's too hot so it was perfect for me. We were married in the church Seth grew up in by the pastor who had baptized him as an infant. Our family and friends made the day special.

In the days leading up to the wedding I was having panic attacks. I was dizzy and wasn't eating much. I hate being the center of attention (this is why I stayed behind the scenes in the plays at school and learned the sound booth well!) The dizzy issue was easily solved by sitting on stools during the ceremony (a little unconventional but it was us...or rather me with Seth agreeing to it so I would be comfortable. He LOVES me so much!)

The wedding was...us; simple yet elegant. I did most of the decorations myself. We enjoyed home-cooked food by Seth's mom (better than any caterer). We had cheesecakes for dessert. We danced the night away...at least until we left!

The photographer was still doing film photography. This photo has flaws because it is an original and technically should not be scanned or reprinted. However, we do own the rights now and the negatives. Photo by Randall Bass.

Today, on our 9th Valentine's Day as a married couple (11th overall) Seth did another clue hunt!! :)
The clues led me to a gift card for services at a Salon and Spa! YEAH!! Love this man to pieces!

Happy Valentine's Day, Love! Hope you enjoyed your gifts from me (cleaning up a messy diaper this morning (which happens very rarely these days), taking the kids home while they screamed for you as you went and got us a special lunch (McDonald's), and for the dinner I'm about to make...whatever it might be!)
