Are you serious? I have a kid old enough to be in Kindergarten next year?
He's been blossoming in Preschool and I really can't wait for him to go to Kindergarten and continue to learn and grow in ways I can't always control. This freaks me out a bit. I guess God will have to do a lot of work in me...I'm not sure I can let go of him for almost 8 whole hours a day 5 days a week. I'm going to miss so much of his life! Okay, we still have a few months...I must enjoy it while I can!
On a more serious note I will let go...I have to. It's just a little sad to think about is all.
What am I going to do with the twins? 8 hours alone with them, without help from Peter? Oh dear!
Last night we had the parent's informational meeting. I won't be going to this for the twins, it's kind of not needed when you already know where you are sending your child, you have lived in the area for all your life, and you went through the same school yourself. Plus, we don't know which elementary yet (we are hoping for the year-round school) so we don't know his teacher. Any questions I ask will be specific to the teacher and that classroom, not for general information pertaining to the whole district.
On a positive note, Seth and I got out of the house together and had a nice dinner with great friends (who also went to the meeting). Down side, we got home before the kids went to bed which means the monotony of bedtime routine keeps going...*sigh*.
Here's to the class of 2026!
