So sorry for my absence. I just haven't had time to sit at the computer and type. (I got addicted to a new game on the iPad so it takes up my spare time). But the kids stole that from me today, they played outside so well after lunch and all day yesterday, I just couldn't say no.
Last week was wet! Crazy Wet! Thursday we found our church pond to be flooded (and beyond). Our creek swelled intensely and even went over my parents drive on Wednesday night to Thursday morning. I had a meeting Thursday night but Seth took the kids for a drive around town to see all the flooding that closed our public school that day. Monday was such a nice day that we all went to the park. The flooding there was noticeable and evidence of how high the water reached was still there.
We have enjoyed lots of indoor play with all this wet weather but were excited to play at our park and on our play structure that Seth is in the process of building. Monday, a slide was added! Each year we plan to add to it. The sad thing about this play area is that there will be no slip'n'slide this year. At least not one for adults. Here's a sneak peak at the play area from above!
