We bought Aaron and Abigail their first brand new bikes! They have been riding tricycles but we realized that Peter learned to ride his bike without training wheels in late summer 2011 and here were the twins who had never rode a bike with training wheels. They are doing great and love them!
Side note on buying bikes - don't buy at Toys 'R' Us unless you want to pay a $10 fee for them to put the bike together for you (when you are not even given the option of a bike in a box). When we were at the check out we debated for...a second...and then I nicely told the lady we would not be buying the bikes because we could find bikes at Meijer in a box for much less. Aaron and Abigail were more than disappointed that they would not be getting Strawberry Shortcake and Toy Story bikes, but were understanding (for 3 year old's), but very quickly turned around when they saw the bikes we would be purchasing at Meijer!
