It's been HOT this weekend...I know not as hot as some places but the humidity and heat combined make for uncomfortable weather. We've been beating the heat by keeping our body's outside, where its nice in the shade.
This weekend is bittersweet as we have had a blast but are sad to see the end of Seth's vacation. We spent Friday evening with two families that we are proud to call friends. We enjoy their company and all our kids are the same age! The kids have fun, the adults have fun, it's just a great time!
Saturday I was able to get to the Farmer's Market for my Strawberries which I made into jam!! We then went looking for a netting to cover/protect our raspberry bushes, but failed. We ended the day with an easy dinner of cold cut sandwiches that just tasted delicious in this heat! We also viewed the movie Wreck-it-Ralph with the kids (although I was doing jam at the time so I didn't pay much attention).
Our weekend concluded with a great time of worship with our fellow believers in Christ, I was able to shop with Claudia and enjoy some time away before Seth goes back to work, and while outside Sunday night we took a walk over to my Grandparents for a short visit (in air-conditioning!!!)
Beautiful Weekend with a beautiful family!
This upcoming week will be busy during the evening hours as Peter goes off to Sports Camp and we also ready our float for the Fourth of July parade in town! Here's a sneak peak of a project I have worked on for the float!
