What a fun weekend...that all happened on Saturday!
Friday was prepping the house for our get together! Sunday was resting from our previous days FUN!
Sandwiched in between was Saturday...the day of Celebrations!
I kind of did the day in reverse so you'll have to go with it!
After a full day of events we received a phone call from our great friends and went and watched the town fireworks with them (which can be seen from their home so it's super easy to keep the kids occupied before they start!).
1. Sparklers for the kids and a pre-firework show (not shown), put on by Brett, were a huge hit!
2. Catching Fire-flies was a fun way to pass the time -- Abigail looked at them for a long time Sunday morning...even though almost all were dead!
3. Best Friends! We've known Brett and Rachel for just over three years and we value their friendship. It's been three years and Rachel and I have never taken a photo together, until Saturday!
4. The twins jump on the Trampoline with their friend Ethan (Brett and Rachel's second), they are all the same age and enjoy playing together! Peter is the same age as Brett and Rachel's oldest Kaylin, it works out quite well! Dillan is just over one year, he was already asleep, but I couldn't leave him out of this post!
5. Our float was a brand new theme this year (on the inside) which was a picnic theme. You can see we are all ready for a picnic with a decorated table, a grill, a picnic basket and decorations around the float! The banners around the float we have used in years past! (More explanations of the float later in the week!)
6. This is the back of the float and in this picture I'm highlighting the wreath I made! {stay tuned for a DIY sometime this week!}
7. Grandpa on his tractor, the patriarch of the family. Thanks Grandpa for being a great example to this family and for loving us all unconditionally! You and Grandma are wonderful examples of faith, family unity, and Love! Thanks for everything you do for this family and making sure we all get together to do special things like walking in a parade and giving back to the community!
So, how's that for a montage!!!
Did you start celebrating the 4th of July early?

We also got to hang out with Brett's Sister and Brother-in-Law and their two kids! We knew them before last night but enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them better!
There are no pictures to show for our midday activities as I didn't get my camera out, which I wish I would have as Seth's Brother's Family was in from California. We had a great get together that also included his youngest sister and her family, along with Seth's parents and Grandma! It was fun to see the cousins get together as they don't get to play but once a year all together! We grilled out for lunch and enjoyed talking and catching up. After they left we went to my parents house to be with my family!
Okay, our day started out with a parade in town! We always put a float in that my cousin pulls with my Grandpa's tractor and Grandpa drives another of his tractor's behind us, the walkers/candy throwers.
